    Minister of Health discusses the organizational structure of the SCHS
      
    Met with officials from Chamber and members of the Health Committee

     

    Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah discussed during his  meeting with members of the Health Committee in the Chamber several axes, the most prominent the organizational structure of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and the Implementing Regulations of the private health institutions, during the meeting held on Wednesday 23 March, 2011 at the Chamber in Dammam.
     
    Meeting was held in the presence of the Chamber's Chairman Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al-Rashid, General Manager of Health Affairs in the region Dr. Tariq Al-Salem and Chief of Health Committee and Board Member Mohammed bin Saad Al-Faraj, Secretary-General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel and a number of officials of the Ministry of Health …Al-Rabiah stressed on the importance of studying all that would improve the health service provided by the health sector in the Kingdom in general and the Eastern region in particular saying that the ministry is moving carefully towards the implementation stages of its strategy to implement to improve the quality of health services.
     
    The meeting also tackled number of topics, including: Health Insurance Council and the government health sector benefit of services provided by the private sector by means and the excluding of currently cover-up cases and the development of the services provided by the pharmaceutical sector in the Eastern Region.
     
    From his part, Al-Rashed urged the royal decrees recently issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, , which emphasized the support of the Saudi citizen in several areas, including health, as the allocation of 16 billion riyals for the expansion and establishment of a number of medical cities and specialized hospitals and medical centers.
     
    For his part, Al-Faraj praised Al-Rabiah recommendation to raise the upper funding limit of private hospitals in the Ministry of Finance from 50 million to 200 million ..saying  that private hospitals seek to coordinate with each other through the Health Committee.
     
    Meanwhile; Chamber has established Committee of Red Crescent Volunteers and other initiatives, as private sector's hospitals has provided several programs of free treatment for many patients in the area of need such as heart, kidneys and tumors ..Chamber has also participated in organizing a large number of conferences and forums of health issues in various disciplines over 100 activities ..This reflects the effectiveness and concern based on health services to be bound by their full human responsibilities.
